My Story
I’m a content strategy consultant and writer focused exclusively on the hospital and health system space. Marketing leaders bring me in to early stage content marketing campaigns and programs to:
- Create content that resonates with hospital purchasing committees and influencers
- Identify gaps in opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness
- Operationalize data and insights into hospital and health system content expectations
- Help build a cohesive content program positioned to grow and learn
I got my start in hospital SaaS and realized there was amazing opportunity to improve the application of content marketing.
Since I cut my teeth in B2B content marketing in combat sports, the transition into hospital content marketing was smooth. This combination background has allowed me to bring my clients a focus on efficiency and effectiveness while leveraging my deep knowledge of the buying process and customer behavior of hospitals and health systems..
What I Believe
I believe that deeper vendor conversations help hospitals and health systems select the partners and solutions that support their unique tech needs.
I believe that a robust content marketing presence is a direct reflection of a hospital technology vendor’s willingness to have these conversations in an upfront and helpful way.
I believe that too many hospital tech vendors have a world of untapped potential to leverage content marketing to demonstrate their expertise, understanding of hospital challenges, and skill in guiding their partners to the best outcomes possible.
Who I Work With
I work with vendors of hospital technology and administrative services. This includes decision support, SaaS, revenue cycle, leadership consulting, LMS and professional development, supply chain, patient experience, infection control, and beyond.
If you understand the potential of outcomes-focused digital content, we’ll probably be a great fit!
I typically work with companies who are looking to invest more than $2K and under $10K per month in their content support and are looking to work with an individual vs. tying themselves to the commitment of an agency.
My Why
In my 10 years supporting healthcare marketing leaders in content strategy and creation and 12 years working in hospital & health system SaaS, I’ve seen a lot.
I’ve sat on site with providers (some happy, and some frustrated with their software experience), worked long-term in multiple SaaS systems (including Epic, Meditech, and hospital imaging and billing systems) experienced the hospital tech buying cycle first-hand, and worked on writing teams including Wolters Kluwer, Iron Mountain, Samsung, and GE—and I’ve learned that the problems that marketing leaders face in this sector exhibit some fascinating patterns.
Those patterns form the foundation of my 6-pillar approach to a strong start for hospital vendor content strategy and my belief that there are a few, fundamental principles that most vendors need to apply before they make any significant time and financial investments in their content.
I believe that most marketing leaders can do more by listening to their hospitals & health systems—with a focus on getting bigger results with less effort through highly-targeted and effective content. This is the start of your maturity toward a content center of excellence that’s an extension of your value chain, and it’s where I can help you today.
